Football club PPS was established in 2006 in Pakkala, Vantaa. The club’s primary purpose is to offer everyone equally a possibility to train and play football.
At the age of five, the teams are set up by the age groups, and boys and girls have individual teams. After that, anyone can join regardless of age or even if you haven’t done it before. PPS also has recreational teams for adults.
The club staff
Executive Director Maria Olin
Administrative Manager Jani Pulkkinen
Head of Coaching Jyri Nieminen (12 year old and older)
Head of Coaching Iiro Sivén (under 11 year old)
Sports Coordinator Jenna Jyrkiäinen
Several coaches are working for the teams. In addition, parents are helping as coaches and in other tasks. Parents of the players are doing voluntary work in their spare time, and all parents are more than welcome to give their time and effort to the team. The club is investing in educating the coaches and the volunteers.
More important than the end result of the game, is to support all players to be brave and to try their best. The player’s equality is in high priority so in our club every player has an equal opportunity to engage. Every player will have the right level of games where the individual has a possibility to succeed and to progress in the game.
Depending on the age group, the teams have training 2-4 times a week. During the summer (April-October), training is at Kartanonkoski, and during the winter, the training sessions will be at nearby schools and football halls. Games and tournaments can be all over in nearby cities.
Each player’s personal gear includes:
The club gear includes training shirts, game jerseys, shorts, football socks, etc and can be ordered after joining the team.
When the player is about to join the team after the trial period, he receives a game number from the team leader.
We hope that the club’s equipment and colors will be worn at all the team’s events.
The club’s main communication channel is MyClub and our website. Via MyClub you will receive information and invoices and attend in events. We use it for internal communication and to gather players’ information. Next to this, we also use a WhatsApp group for parents. The club and the teams also have social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram).
Parents must notify/ inform the coaches via MyClub whether the player is attending in events. When organizing rehearsals for a team, it is necessary to know if there will be 20 or 40 players in the event. The coach must know how many groups will be formed and how many coaches are needed in games and in tournaments.
The club collects membership fees and seasonal fees from all players. Prices and more information in here and you can also contact the Team Managers (contact information pakkalanpalloseura.fi -> Joukkueet / Teams)
Players participating in team activities are also charged as a monthly team activity fee to cover costs not included in the club’s membership or season fees.
Each autumn, teams prepare an annual activity and financial plan, which forms the basis for determining the team’s monthly activity fee. Team fees are invoiced monthly and do not qualify for family discounts.
Team operations and finances are planned on a 12 month basis. Although expenses vary throughout the year. For example indoor training facilities are more expensive in the winter and tournaments and equipment purchases are concentrated in summer. The monthly fees are set as even payments for predictability and fairness.
Players and families are expected to commit to the team for the full season, as the team’s financial stability depends on consistent participation.
If a player intends to quit or take a break, this must be communicated to the team manager as early as possible, always in writing. Early notice helps the team plan finances and manage training and competitions effectively.
The club’s board updated in 10/2025 the policy regarding payment obligations for players stopping or taking a break. These changes were made to benefit players.
Previously, the club used a “1+2 rule” (the month of notification + two following months).
From now on:
This change aims to support players’ long-term commitment for the entire season.
The club gear is at a different cost and available in Intersport Tammisto. You can purcase the gear from the shop or from their webstore. Contact the Team Manager first to get the game number for the player!
All players need to have insurance, which can be purchased with Pelipassi, or if the player has leisure insurance. If the player has their own insurance, you need to make sure it covers hobbies and sports like football. A certificate of insurance must be submitted to the team. If a player has their own insurance and it changes during the season, it is the guardian’s responsibility to provide the new information to the team. Note! Players are not allowed to participate in training and game events without insurance.
Invoices are sent via MyClub. Please note that unpaid invoices are moved to the collection by Visma.
If the player decides to quit the team, this needs to be informed to the club (toimisto@pakkalanpalloseura.fi) and the Team Manager in writing (email).
